The Plate Method

The Plate Method illustrates what a person's general consumption should look like for balanced nutrition.  This would be achieved by completing two of these plates with the approximate servings shown.  Again, we are not doctors or nurses so this is just a generic illustration not intended for those with special needs or underlying conditions. Please speak to your doctor before adjusting anything, first!

The Blank Plate Method

This tool is intended for use on one's phone or printed out for temporary reference, to help identify nutritional gaps in one's day. Again, as mentioned in the episode, the idea is not to use this forever, but simply to see what is out of balance. Then, once that awareness is built, use the Plate Method above that is filled in and adjust your daily intake accordingly.  We are not doctors or nurses so this is just a generic illustration not intended for those with special needs or underlying conditions.
